I made changes using unsweetened almond milk, maple syrup to taste, 3tsp cinnamon, salted to taste and 3tsp vanilla. By mistake I used 2 1/2c. quick cook rolled oats. 2 large unpeeled Cosmic apples in chunks. Set it to low. At the 2 hr mark, I realized what I'd done! Checked my slow cooker and it was perfect according to my tastes. Not completely mushy, a slight crunch to the apples and flavorful.
