As written this is very broth heavy so you might want to leave out the cup of water. I added chopped zucchini and doubled the sausage. There wasn't much spices in this recipe, so I added a bit of chopped onion, garlic and 1 tsp of italian seasoning as I was browning the meat. I hate kale so subbed spinach. I was feeling lazy so I made this in the pressure cooker (10 minutes then release manually) then added the spinach and half & half. I guess I basically remade this recipe but it was great! Lol
