I followed the recipe to the T, and they came out tasting yummy.
The only thing I'd change, would be to increase the amount of syrup, and if you don't want it too sweet, then deduct some of the sugar instead.
I found that because of adding sultanas to mine, that there prob wasn't enough syrup then to cover all the mixture, to keep it all gelled together, so some pieces ended up falling apart.
It still tasted delicious.
If you're a cinnamon lover like me, then I'd recommend adding more than the recipe says.
