Excellent dinner 🍽️ casserole!🥘 Our jalapenos 🌶️ weren't very spicy 🔥 so we added a bit of cayenne pepper to spice things up. May have overdone it with bacon but who has ever said something had too much bacon 🥓 in it? Next time I think I'll add half the bacon crumbles into the mixture before cooking so that the smokey flavor mixes throughout the sauce. Will probably fry the jalapenos lightly before adding to mix otherwise they won't fully cook in the casserole.
