Huge hit with my boyfriend's family over the holidays! It helped me make friends. One of the fried thighs was set aside before sauce for a kid who was a picky eater, and they loved it. I used 2 kinds of paprika, a standard blend and a sweet blend. I omitted the chili but it still had a bit of spice to it. I did add the cheese and I liked that.
The one thing done differently was to add some cornstarch in at the end. I didn't like how thin the sauce was coming out so I thickened it up. It worked perfectly and had just the right texture.
It's a very indulgent comfort food I could see making again when I have people to cook for.
