What do you do with the custard mixture? The egg yolk and sugar? You said to set aside to cool while doing step 3, but I never read what you did with it after? Only combining the whip cream and mascarpone..

After you’re done whipping the mascarpone and the rum. You have to add in the custard(yolk and sugar) mixture, provided that it is cool enough not to separate the mascarpone and rum :)
