The first time I made this, I followed the recipe and I didn't like it. So I tried it with sweet potato and Parmesan instead this time with a lot of dill, salt and pepper, and it was much better. I liked it a lot. I just used a freezer steam bag of sweet potatoes, steamed them for a few minutes in the microwave, then put them on top of the casserole to put into the oven. It was bland the first go around, so I added garlic, herbs and extra salt.
