Hi Connie - I’m glad it worked with less water for you. Every flour absorbs different amounts of water, and while you do want it to be a wet and sticky dough, it can get unmanageable when it’s soupy! Did you use bread flour or all purpose? It’s helpful for others to know. Some bread flours unfortunately absorb water more like an all purpose flour and can’t handle as much water, it sounds like it might have been the case this time if it was bread flour you used. Again, very happy to hear your adjustments worked for your particular flour 😍

Thanks for the heads up! I dont bake bread often. I used bread flour; the second time I started with 180ml of water and then added 60ml at a time until I got the right consistency. The bread is already gone, and I plan on using this recipe again this weekend to use up the yeast I bought!
