Couldn't find the family recipe so I used this instead. I boil the cabbage head 20 seconds or so at a time and remove from the pan each time to pull leaves off. I then boiled all the leaves in batches for 2min each. Doubled the recipe, one head of cabbage should be enough. Only tended to it a couple of times to keep them from sticking to the bottom and to turn the rolls over halfway through. Curious to try it in the oven next time. I totally forgot the egg though! Added sauerkraut on top the last couple minutes of cooking.
