← Replies in Harvest Chicken Casserole Recipe

For those that don't notice, this calls for cooked rice. Do NOT measure out 6 cups of rice, and then cook that, and put it all in this dish. 2 cups of uncooked wild rice, which is 1lb of dry rice if you're trying to figure that part out, makes 6 cups of cooked rice. I'm curious to know if others that said this wasn't very flavorful cooked 3 times the amount of rice they needed and rendered the recipe bland as a result.

Finally got around to making this and really do think the people saying it's bland either used too much rice or are just accustomed to really strong flavors. As written, this recipe brings a bit of a smokey flavor with the warm, fall flavors of the veg. That said, if you're used to really strong flavors, you might want to add something, but as it is, my wife and I thought it was very good and will be making it again.
