I made this in a ceramic bean pot. After an hour the liquid was not thicker but the beans had a wonderful flavor. I put the leftovers back in the oven for another hour and then the sauce thickened. I made Boston Brown bread to go with it. Delicious! Reminded me of my Grandmother’s baked beans. I don’t know how these would turn out in a 9x13 pan, but we thought our results were delicious.
