Definitely needs more spices. Fresh parsley and thyme have worked well for me. I also added red pepper flakes. Photo comes from iteration two of this recipe, and iteration one had peas. I think that adding peas and/or bell peppers would elevate the dish significantly. A little bit of finely diced onion and garlic sauteed with the spinach wouldn't hurt, either. As others have noted on this recipe, don't use so much lemon juice. I find 2.5 tbsp is plenty.
