Two thumbs up. When I ate mine, I thought of a chowder. I tend to not follow rules to receipes so here are my changes.
1. added turmeric rosemary and garlic salt
2. blended the soup without the meat because the potatoes didn't break down the way I wanted while cooking.
3. Added fish which added to the clam (fish) chowder experience
4. I can't recall of the original recipe included bacon and chives but I included them
