The instructions are a bit confusing, but here's what I did! 1. Start pasta water/broth (I recommend broth) to cook pasta to desired hardness. Make sure you add some salt to the pasta water, especially if you do not use broth!! 2. Cook sausage until desired crispyness (yes, this required a separate skillet, but it was so much easier this way). 2. Add garlic, onions, and tomatoes. Toss in desired spices (I added a little extra rosemary). 3. Cook until onions are translucent or caramelized (your preference) and the skillet is fragrant. 4. Your pasta should be cooked and the liquid almost or completely gone at this point. Add pepper, salt, Italian seasoning, and rosemary to the pasta and give it a quick toss to combine. 5. Combine everything into one pot, including cheese. Add a bit more water/broth to help combine as you stir. 6. Combine until a sauce has formed and serve hot!

So you boiled the pasta in broth? If so what kinda broth, I would think some sort of chicken broth.

@Jake_Ringelstetter I used chicken broth since it is what I had on hand, but whatever you have or that matches your protein of choice! With more discerning tastes you will want to match your broth to your protein, but for the average meal whatever you have will work! The broth just adds a bit more heartiness to the dish and lends a bit more cooked-in flavor!
