Even unaltered it was very tasty, but I mix an egg, the parmesan and dried (instead of fresh) basil into the ricotta, pipe it using a bag on the top, level it out so it's smooth, then spread 8oz grated mozzarella on the top. I then bake it as instructed, but once bubbly (egg cooked) I broil until the mozzarella is slightly browned. Makes delicious layers of texture and flavor. Super good and sooooo much easier and faster than traditional lasagna
