This recipe is very forgiving! Everything went wrong and it still turned out delicious. I accidentally bought frosted rice krispie cereal and sweetened matcha powder, so I compensated for the sweetness by halving the marshmallows and adding more salt. (You can see mine wasn't a nice green color ๐
๐ญ more like a swampy Shrek color...) I also burned my white chocolate, either because my broiler was too strong or because I placed the rack too high, but it was still useable. I made a second batch using cocoa powder, a pinch of instant coffee, and a splash of vanilla instead of matcha, all of which I added directly to the butter to try and bloom the cocoa first before adding the marshmallows. I also lightly sprayed the parchment before placing the marshmallows on it, which made it easier to scrape off after baking. I mixed in pecans and semi sweet chocolate chips as well as the toasted white chocolate chips (I broiled on low this time and watched it like a hawk), and it was heavenly. I can't wait to buy the proper ingredients and make this again!
