Use the sauce for this recipe. Plus white rice, spinach, avocado, sesame seeds, and chickpeas / sweet potatoes (Jacob-style)
Sweet Potatoes:
*** Brown sugar
Paprika
Salt
Pepper
Garlic powder
Onion powder
****Turmeric (or curry powder, not usually at the same time)
Cumin
Sometimes cinnamon
Olive oil to help coat
About equal parts of everything, including the brown sugar (BUT NOT THE SALT)
for one sweet potato, 1 tablespoon of brown sugar (or 1.5)
Shake spices until the sweet potatoes get fully covered
Just a pinch of salt and pepper
Chickpeas: exact same spices as above
Used the above on the chickpeas, but switched the cumin and turmeric for curry powder. Did not use brown sugar
Sweet potatoes in oven- 350 for 10, 450 for another 10
Chickpeas just throw in pan on medium heat, stop when start to fall apart to poke with spatula. (Don’t add oil to pan, already have)
