Craved for this childhood fave snacks of mine. It can be a dessert too but we eat it mostly as snacks on a cold, rainy day back home.
Tips:
1) Don't forget to stir frequently coz you don't want the rice to stick on the bottom of your pan.
2) 2.5 cups of water is NOT enough. You have to add more water as the rice absorbs it quickly. I think I've added about 2 more cups of water here. You can estimate it as you go and set the consistency you want as long as the rice is not yet cooked.
3) Top it with milk and if you want something salty to complement the sweetness, we pair this with dried fish 'traditionally'.
