There is no way the writer of this recipe made this chicken in the crockpot and had it turn out like the original photo.
Save yourself some time and trouble and cook it in the oven.
If you’re going to make this with chicken thighs, do it in the over at 400° for 35 mins. I would also check occasionally and baste chicken with the juices.
If you decide to cook in the crockpot, it will probably be finished in 2 hours on high as opposed to 4. I did mine for 4 and the chicken was so dry that it was hard to eat.
