I used an instant pot - added everything but the milk and cooked on high for 5 minutes. Did a quick release, added the milk & stirred and let sit for 10 minutes under heat until serving.
Can double recipe in 6 quart Instapot but sometimes will get pressure error... So then slow cook for 30-60 minutes and turns out fine.
Leave out mushrooms when making for friends for folks that don't like them.
For freezer meals makes about 4 loaf pans.
