My husband's opinion based on past experience, is that scones are dry and flavorless. UNTIL I made these! Hat's off to The Food Charlatan!! The grating of the butter is not an easy task but worth every bite!! I added my own touch using lemon zest and lavender in my glaze. Over the top!!
Word of caution: I made one attempt to grate the butter in a food processor and then blend the dry ingredients till well blended and then the wet ingredients. This did not end with good results. The manual labor in keeping without small appliances is much better.
