To clarify in the directions, you are supposed to leave the two tablespoons of bacon fat in the skillet. In other words, don't put the two tablespoons aside to use for later. In addition, I used seasoning salt and low sodium chicken stock and low sodium bacon. As others have said, it is still salty. I would probably not use seasoning salt next time and maybe even just very lightly salt the chicken. I definitely use less than a teaspoon of salt on the chicken. The recipe is okay, nothing to write home about. I also cooked the chicken in the air fryer to save some time. I prepared the bacon and the airfryer the day before as well. The day I made this, I only had to warm up the bacon and then as the chicken cooked in the air fryer, I started doing this sauce on the stove top.
