In my opinion this is the single best way to cook tri tip. And if you don’t have a grill handy, you can easily do it in the oven under your broiler too.
If you’ve never had tri tip before, it’s wonderfully beefy and absolutely amazing when cooked to medium or medium rare and sliced thin. I actually prefer this to steak.
