I reduced the sugar to 2/3rds of the original amount and added brown rather than white sugar. I also went for vegan butter. A single portion is perfect for a standard brownie container. I cooked for 30 min and, surprisingly, they raised a lot! They still ended up amazing. The expresso powder gives them an extra kick, so I am glad I added it! Storing them in a plastic box overnight made them extra moist in the center!
