The onions suck in this recipe. I made them by dipping in flour then egg then panko breadcrumbs, then fried in a little oil the day before. Didn’t refrigerate and used as directed with the rest of the recipe. Much better! This was last year but this year I got an air fryer so…
Same prep as for frying but put a single layer on the grill pan and spray with a bit of oil or canned spray. Cook at 400 for 3 min then flip and put a bit more spray on and cook for another minute. Put onto a paper towel to cool and stored in a covered container until time to use. Perfect.
