Edit to add:i tried it and my thoughts are: the texture, as expected based on the ingredients, is fudge like. The oatmeal adds texture but doesn't make it better or worse. Also unless you really like the vanilla flavor of the protien powder then I would strongly recommend using unflavored or chocolate flavored. If my brother likes it or thinks he would with a different flavor proien powder, then I will definitely make it again, probably without the oats (he hasn't tried it yet, will update when he does)
I made these for my brother who frequents the gym but doesn't eat as much as he should and definitely meeds to up his protien intake but doesn't care for the texture of protien shakes. I also want to point out i didn't think the texture was "goopy" atleast not in my opinion. However, i did add approximately 1/2 cup of oats just to make it a bit more filling and add more texture. I used Whey Vanilla flavored protien powder. It's in the refrigerator setting now. I'll make a note after my brother tries it. I also didn't top with chocolate bc I didn't have any on hand.
