We had 4 lbs of stew meat, so I made a double batch in 2 crock pots. DO NOT RECOMMEND! My smaller crockpot came out beautifully and my larger one is STILL cooking 8 hours later.
Keep in mind, this was MY doing, not the recipe. It's absolutely delicious. Next time I'll definitely make a single batch.
