Comfort food at its best.
I doubled up on the carrots & added a few more baby potatoes.
2 cups of wine didn’t overpower the stew. I used cheapo winking owl Merlot from ALDI.
Followed recipe precisely for stovetop, maximum time.
The meat was fork tender; carrots & potatoes were silky yet slightly firm, not mushy. Perfect!
Plenty of gravy even after the 30 minute simmer to reduce & thicken.
