I have been making a version of this for a long time. My mom made this growing up. I think it was on the back of a Lipton's soup mix packet. I prefer to use milk instead of water and I add the soup mix, milk, cream of mushroom and rice to a baking dish and mix well. Then I salt and pepper the chicken before adding. I bake it at 375 covered with tinfoil for 1 hr, remove the tin foil and bake for an additional 10 min or until the liquid has been absorbed. It's what I make when I don't feel like anything special. So it's a "not so special special chicken casserole".
