I didn't do any of the suggested toppings, although I'm sure they're great. I just wanted to try the base mix on its own first. The base is tasty. It's not super sweet. I put a little salted butter and some cinnamon sugar on a piece, and it was delicious. My mom and I started talking about all the different toppings we could make for these pancakes. I'm wondering if anything savory would work with it, and I definitely plan to try savory because this is so low effort to make that I wouldn't even be upset if savory didn't work.
The only change I made was using salted butter in the mix.
I used a 9x13 glass dish because it's what I currently have, and the pancakes were a little thick for me, but I'd make it the same way using the same pan again because I enjoyed them so much.
