I just made these for the first time this week and made them TWICE. A hit with the kids and great for busy weekday nights. I made caramelized onions and used those instead of the crispy fried onions. In fact, since making caramelized onions takes some time, I made them ahead of time on Sunday for our weekday meal(s). I also replaced the cheese with white cheddar for the kids. Turned our great! I served with roasted carrots and a salad.
