I would double or triple up on the potatoes or reduce the amount of liquid. I would also double the clams. Overall, the chowder was amazing. This is now my go-to recipe. Of note, the instructions did not say when to add the clams. So I added them at the very end after the 10 minute simmer of the heavy cream and butter. Also, the ingredients list says 2 tbls of butter but the instructions call for 3. The more butter the better so I went with 3.
