This makes a pretty small smoothie with the portions mentioned. My blender struggled with it as this was below the blades until I added 3/4-1cup milk, another 1 cup of fruit and another TBS of maple syrup. The fruits I used were frozen and after the additions it was quickly ready to go and tasted great. I will probably always add the milk (low fat, soy, whatever) as I prefer a less thick smoothie.
