I didn't follow exactly along with the recipe since I just used what I had on hand, mainly better than bouillon roast chicken base for the broth and the worst brand of almond milk (simply almond) in the corn bread instead of buttermilk, it turned out pretty great despite my misgivings about those questionable inclusions I used as substitutes.
