Some slight modifications were made based on product availability. These include:
1. Used bacon bits instead of turkey bacon. Amount was estimated to be approximately equal.
2. Used sage instead of thyme (apparently I was out).
3. Added in some leftover grated parmesan that was about to expire.
4. Added in about 2 ½ times more broth than called for because I misread the instructions. Whoops! 🤷♀️
All in all, it was really good. I would like to try it to exact specifications, but it was close enough. I would likely omit the green onions next time though. They provided a good crunch factor at first, but once they got soggy they were hard to get down and didn’t add much to the overall taste since there’s already onions in it. I also didn’t really get much of the garlic taste since the bacon completely overwhelmed everything else.
