Added 2 teaspoons sugar and 1 T Italian herbs and 28oz petite diced tomatoes to the sauce.
Used half ground beef half ground pork, Added a splash of milk to the meatballs. Grated the onions for the meatballs to draw out more moisture.
As always, added far more garlic to both meatballs and sauce.
Broiled meatballs on low for 12, flipped and broiled low 4 more minutes. While broiling, made the sauce. Then added meatballs into sauce and cooked in slow cooker 6 hours. Added 1 cup water to slow cooker about 2 hours into cooking.
