I made this lasagna for 40 guests and it was delicious, however, after tasting the sauce I felt it needed to be kicked up a notch, so I added the following to the original recipe:
2 lbs ground beef
5-8oz tomato sauce
4-6oz tomato paste
4 large garlic cloves
3 TBSP Italian Seasoning, dried
4 cups cottage cheese
1/2 TBSP Thyme, dried
1 TBSP Oregano, dried
1 yellow onion, finely diced
4 cups grated parmesan cheese
1 extra cup of mozzarella cheese
More salt and pepper to both sauces to taste. It was the best lasagna that I’ve ever tasted.
