it was fun to make! unfortunately i am not a pro at melting sugar and it took ~30 minutes for all of it to melt and then some caramelized so i did the best i could with spreading it in the pan. it was my first time ever making flan and it came out great! the taste and texture was great and i only did what the recipe called for. however, i forgot to put foil over the batter before baking so it was not as visually pleasing as the recipe photo. would definitely try to make again though! p.s. the flan had a very sweet taste, at least to me. so be prepared!
