Instant Pot Mashed Potatoes

Easy. I used chicken broth instead of water. I kept about 8 oz of the liquid left in the pot and added butter salt and pepper. Wonderful.

Flavorless and watery

This is probably going to be my go to way of making mashed potatoes now!

I didn’t have sour cream so used cream cheese. This was delicious!

I used the Instant Pot method to make the potatoes. Used my own recipe to mash them up. Easier, quicker, and a cooler kitchen than if I boiled the potatoes. I'll use this method again.

Add more flavor next time

I made a larger portion so I added ingredients to taste. My fiancé and I loved them!

This was a disaster, it takes at least 20 minutes for the instant pot to preheat, thus the total time is closer to 30 min to cook. Then when I hit the quick release it spewed potato water all over the kitchen walls and floor for about 5 min! Stovetop next time. Flavor was good though.

Easy to follow directions for someone who hasn't made homemade mashed potatoes before or used an Instantpot much. Quick process and yummy results! I would say it made 4-6 servings.

I double recipe and use red Potatoes with skins on. I reduce the sour cream and add some cream cheese also.

I used half a cup of Buttermilk instead of the sour cream and milk. Very good.

Takes a long time for the pressure to come up ~25 minutes

So easy! Was able to make a full bag of potatoes in same time.

Didn't know mashed potatoes could be easier. I've made it twice now. Used sour cream and heavy cream. Both ways were delicious. Maybe less salt.

Used half and half instead of milk, fresh minced garlic, peeled Yukon gold potatoes and mixed with an immersion blender to make them silky smooth. They were so good

I left about half the peel on each potato. Had to add a little extra milk, but otherwise, a really good, fast IP mashed potato.
