Instructions

Baking Method

Step 1
Carefully peel taro skin with a vegetable peeler or sharp knife.
Step 2
Using a mandolin or knife, slice taro into the thinnest slices possible. My mandolin setting was 1/8 inch. Soak immediately in a bowl of salted water for 2 hours or overnight.
Step 3
Dry taro slices on a large cutting board lined with paper towels and blot to dry completely.
Step 4
Once dry, preheat oven to 400ยฐ and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper or baking mat. Arrange chips in a single layer and spray with cooking spray. Season generously with salt or seasoning of choice.
Step 5
Bake for 15 minutes flipping the chips halfway through. Allow to cool to crisp up for 15 minutes and serve warm! Enjoy!

Air Fryer Method:

Step 6
Complete the same steps above but instead of baking your chips, preheat your air fryer to 360ยฐ. Spray your air fryer basket with cooking spray and arrange chips in a single layer. Season with salt or seasoning of choice and fry for 6 minutes shaking your basket halfway through.
Step 7
Serve immediately and enjoy warm!
