The Best Sugar Cookie Recipe

I make these every year. My friends call them "crack cookies" and demand that I send them dozens at Christmas. They are that good! Super sweet and buttery, but it is a sugar cookie so it is expected. The full batch is almost too much for my stand mixer to handle at once (5 qt) so I often do half batches.

These were super easy to make. Recommended by a friend. I made mine a bit on the thicker side and cooked them at the high end of the time limit. They came out absolutely perfect.

I split the recipe in half because it makes a lot of cookies. The royal icing I made was not included in the recipe (powdered sugar + water + extract (any flavor))

Worked perfectly first time, I love how you don't have to refrigerate the dough after cutting the biscuits, you just pop them straight in.
