Instructions
Step 1
Wash beans thoroughly to remove any dirt or sand particles. Transfer washed beans into Instant Pot container.
Step 2
Cover beans in Instant Pot container with water by at least one inch.
Step 3
Add onions, garlic, salt, pepper, seasoning, and liquid smoke to Instant Pot container and stir to combine.
Step 4
Seal Instant Pot. Using Manual mode, set timer to 55 minutes and allow Instant Pot to start.
Step 5
Upon expiration of timer, allow Instant Pot to release pressure naturally, about 20 minutes.
Step 6
Open Instant Pot when pressure has been released naturally (as indicated by the pressure pin on the lid dropped back to original position) and remove onions and garlic. Add a spoonful of bacon grease (about 1 tbsp) and stir to melt. Enjoy!
