Ingredients
8 servings
1rotisserie chicken
10Buttermilk Biscuits
Canned
salt
pepper
32 ozChicken Bone Broth
4 cupswater
1 cupflour
Slurry
Instructions
Step 1
Combine the water and bone broth into a large pot. Place pot on the stove on medium-low heat to boil.
Step 2
While pot is getting ready to boil, shred the chicken. Be careful not to include any bones. Set aside.
Step 3
In a small bowl, place the flour. This will be used to dredge the biscuits.
Step 4
Open the canned biscuits. One-by-one flatten the biscuit dough and dredge both sides through the flour. Pull off pieces of biscuit to desired size (to create dumplings) and gently drop into the pot of boiling broth.
Step 5
Once all the dumplings have floated to the top, test a dumpling, using a spoon, for desired firmness (doneness).
Step 6
Add the shredded chicken to the pot. Make the slurry by combining ingredients and shaking in closed tupperware. Slurry should be runny but slightly thickened.
Step 7
Add slurry to pot and stir to combine. Remove the pot from the heat and add salt & pepper to taste.
Step 8
Enjoy!
