Ingredients

2 lbsground beef
or turkey

2 cupsonion
diced

3 Tbspchili powder
or to taste

1 tspground cumin

1 tspdried oregano

1 tspgarlic powder

1 tspunsweetened cocoa powder

½ tspseasoning salt

½ tspsalt

1 cuplight beer

28 ozcan petite diced tomatoes

15 ozcan dark red kidney beans
drained and rinsed

15 ozcan red beans
drained and rinsed

salt
to taste, optional

¼ cupmasa corn flour
mixed with 1/2 cup water, optional
Instructions
Step 1
Set the Instant Pot™ to the brown/saute setting on high and preheat. Add the meat and onions and cook until meat is cooked through and onions are fairly tender. Turn off the Instant Pot™ and drain fat.
Step 2
Stir in seasoning and beer; stir well. Stir in tomatoes and beans. Secure lid making sure the steam release valve is in the closed position. Cook on high pressure for 5 minutes.
Step 3
When time is up, quick release the steam. When complete, carefully remove lid and stir well. For thicker chili, stir in corn flour slurry and set instant pot to simmer or saute and simmer until chili thickens (about a couple minutes) stirring frequently. For best results, let chili sit overnight
