Instructions

Step 1
Directions:
Step 2
Use a food processor shredding blade to prepare the fruit as follows:
Step 3
1. Wash and clean the cranberries. Process with the shredding blade.
Step 4
2. Add sugar to cranberries in a large mixing bowl and stir thoroughly.
Step 5
3. Wash and clean the lime and oranges. Use the fine shredder to zest the entire skin of the lime and both oranges into the mixing bowl with the cranberry mixture.
Step 6
4. Peel and section the lime and oranges. Process with the shredding blade. This will be about 75% juice; remove any large pieces of pulp before adding to cranberry mixture in mixing bowl.
Step 7
5. Wash and clean the Granny Smith apples. Cut into quarters. Remove core and stems. Process with the shredding blade. Remove any large pieces of apple skin before adding the shredded apples to cranberry mixture in mixing bowl.
Step 8
6. Mix and stir thoroughly. Place in refrigerator overnight so the flavors can blend over time. It can be served as soon as the mixing is finished. But will be better after the flavors can blend.
Step 9
This versatile cranberry relish can be served alone in small dishes. It can also accompany turkey, ham or other meats. It goes well with a sharp cheese, providing a tart fruity contrast. It also works very well as a topping on toast or other items.
