Ingredients

2 servings

1 cupvanilla bean ice cream

or vanilla-flavored milk

1 tablespoonblue raspberry syrup

¼ cupfresh blackberries

2 tablespoonspineapple ginger syrup

or blue food coloring, for drizzle, or spirulina for garnish

Green matcha powder

Instructions

Step 1

1. In a blender, combine vanilla bean ice cream, ice, pineapple ginger syrup, blue raspberry syrup, and blackberries.

Step 2

2. Blend until thick and smooth, with a slushy-like consistency.

Step 3

3. Pour into a glass and top with whipped cream.

Step 4

4. Drizzle blue matcha or food coloring syrup over the whipped cream and finish with blue sprinkles for a viral, mutating look.

Substituted lemon juice for pineapple ginger syrup because they didn't have any in stores and I didn't really have the money nor the time to make the syrup itself, and I only added blackberries instead of raspberries because, like I said, I didn't have the money. It tasted of vanilla mainly, to be honest it was the first thing you tasted, then the tart from the blackberries and to top it off the lemon juice rounded everything together. I also liked the patterning from the berries, It gave it it's iconic feel, similar to resident evil 6, it gave a insect-like feel, reminiscent of the spontaneous mutations from the virus in resident evil 6 and specifically the j'avo in the game(their insect buggy eyes with multiple). I ended up using way too much vanilla ice cream than I should have trying to get the drink it's frosty texture, kinda like a frappuccino, but alas it ended up not working. Despite it being too sweet thanks to me overdoing it with the ice cream, it was a delicious treat that I would recommend to anyone who has a fascination with anything berry flavored.
