Instructions

Step 1
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
Step 2
In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
Step 3
In another bowl, beat butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, followed by eggnog and vanilla extract.
Step 4
Gradually add dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
Step 5
Divide batter evenly among cupcake liners.
Step 6
Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Cool completely before frosting.
Step 7
For the frosting, whip heavy cream, powdered sugar, vanilla, and nutmeg until soft peaks form. Frost the cooled cupcakes.
