Instructions

Step 1
Whisk together, warm water, yeast and sugar, let sit for 5 mins until its frothy/foamy.
Step 2
Add salt, oil and flour, mix well.
Step 3
Knead dough for about 5-10 minutes.
Step 4
cut dough in half, in 1 half add jalapenos and grated cheese, can leave the other dough plain or add to it.
Step 5
In a greased bowl let both dough balls sit for 1 hour or until its doubled in size.
Step 6
Cut each dough ball into 4 balls. poke a hole for the middle and shape into bagels, repeat for both dough, Makes 8 bagels.
Step 7
Put in hot water or boiling water (with baking soda). Let sit for 30 seconds flipping and then remove and repeat with the rest of the bagels.
Step 8
Put on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush each bagel with a egg wash.
Step 9
Add extra jalapeno slices on top and cheese if wanted
Step 10
Bake at 425, Plain bagels took 10 minutes, Jalepeno bagels took 15 minutes.
