Instructions

Step 1
Rinsing the rice is important to remove excess starch, which can cause stickiness. Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
Step 2
Add the rinsed rice and the appropriate amount of water to the Instant Pot inner pot.
Step 3
Close the lid and turn the steam release valve to the sealing position.
Step 4
Select the "Pressure Cook" or "Manual" setting on your Instant Pot. High pressure is recommended for most types of rice.
Step 5
Cook 3 minutes at high pressure.
Step 6
After cooking, allow a natural pressure release for at least 10 minutes. This means letting the pressure release on its own without manually turning the valve
Step 7
After the NPR period, you can do a quick pressure release by turning the venting knob to the venting position to release any remaining steam.
Step 8
Open the lid carefully and fluff the rice with a fork. Fluffing helps separate the grains and keeps them from sticking together.
