Instructions

Step 1
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Step 2
Place bread and raisins in a greased 8-inch baking dish.
Step 3
In a bowl, mix milk, melted butter, sugar, eggs, vanilla, and cinnamon.

Pour over bread; press lightly to soak.
Step 5
Bake for 40-45 minutes, until golden and set.

For Vanilla Sauce: In a saucepan, mix sugar and cornstarch; add water gradually.
Step 7
Cook and stir until thickened.
Step 8
Remove from heat; stir in butter and vanilla.
Step 9
Pour over warm bread pudding.
